I am a very conventional male aged 80 who loves life although rather restricted n hat my mobility on my legs is certainly nowhere like it was 50 years ago when I played rugby. I am an enthusiastic DIYer, at the moment the shed we had built for a home office some 25 years ago became rotten at the bottom of the wall that faces the weather. So since Christmas I have been ched exhopping away at the rotten wood and treating the rotten wood left with a resin which hardens and then stops the rot spreading. I have now reached where the shed framework wood has been replaced .All that is left is the final installation of the cladding. I built a 17 ft by 13 ft workshop at the bottom the garden to give the electrical garden machinery away from the rigours of the weather.
I used to play rugby union, cricket squash and sailing. I taught myself to saif in a mirror dinghy, followed by an Enterprise and finally a Hunter 23ft sea going yacht. Finally when my legs starting showing lack of flexability I then started playing golf. I spent my working life as computer engineer
